Curtis Kuhn's Team in Training Pledge Page
Over the next 5 months, I will train to run a marathon with a group called Team in Training - an endurance training program for runners, walkers, cyclists and triathletes to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. While running myself silly, with your help, I hope to raise $5,000 in the fight to find a cure for leukemia. The result of training and fundraising will be me on the starting line of the 26.2 mile Anchorage marathon on June 22, 2002 and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society one step closer to finding a cure. I am doing this in honor of my patient hero, Rebecca Schields. Rebecca has ALL (Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia) and is currently awaiting a bone marrow transplant. She is 28 years old. Although I have not met Rebecca yet, I am sure she will be an inspiration and motivator to me along the way. Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's mission: To cure leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and Hodgkin's disease and to improve the quality of life of patients and their families. Team in Training goal: To increase funding to support the Society's mission while promoting fitness and healthy lifestyles. Thanks for taking the time to check this out. Please take the time to sign my guestbook while you're here. I'll need all the encouragement I can get. Please give generously. Check out the donate section for more information. Your support is greatly appreciated, Curtis |
